Are There Colic Home Remedies That Work?

If you’re anything like me, you’d have tried every possible remedy for colic. In my quest for a home remedy, I tried everything, from using the vacuum cleaner to gripe water and homeopathic remedies. My first attempt at relieving colic in my baby was with herbal remedies for colic. I tried herbal tea.

    Let’s see…

I tried peppermint, ginger, catnip and chamomile herbal teas. Although the peppermint tea provided some relief, it was only temporary. The cool refreshing sensation was more distracting than it was actually helping with the pain. I tried several homeopathic remedies. These were unfortunately not well received by my baby because they were in tablet form.

I also found it difficult to give them to him, even if dissolved in water. Maybe he didn’t like the taste. After months of exhaustion, I finally gave up on the colic herbal treatments and tried something more proactive.

    Bowen Technique

The Bowen Technique for babies-Baby Bowen. It sounded good to me as all the other herbal remedies I tried did not provide any relief. Baby Bowen is designed to treat colic, which is caused by an imbalance in the body. It works by rebalancing the nervous system, which effectively treats colic. It is an easy home remedy for colic that is gentle and simple. I must admit, I was skeptical at the beginning.

It took me an hour to learn the Baby Bowen moves. Then I waited for the right moment, when my baby was having a bad bout with colic.

    Conclusion

I was stunned! It was the first move that did it! He looked straight at me and stopped crying. Then he cuddled up in mine and fell asleep! I feel like a new person! I feel in control and doing the best for my baby. No more frustration and exhaustion! Colic herbal remedies can be used to alleviate discomfort, but they don’t cure it. Baby Bowen is a home remedy for colic that is effective.
